Purple Lilies

The last few days were basicly amazing. I love my job so much. Picture day was yesterday and it was so cute to see all the kids dressed up. I work with amazing girls that I am pleased to call my close friends. My roommates are so kind and fun to be around and I love the people in the apartment complex. I think I have been blessed beyond anything I thought I would ever find here in Provo.

Thursday night I went to Keven's house and we made calzones and pie...okay well we defrosted the pie but we did make the calzones! We watched Part 2 of the Decent and The Box. Both were good. His roommate Ross was there to and he is a super nice guy. He works at a plasma center which is basicly just as it sounds a center where people give their plasma.

Yesterday Keven picked me up and sitting on the passenger seat awaiting me was a bouque of purple calla lillies. My favorite flower in my favorite color.....I was speachless. And if you know me at all that is a rare occasion! We went to his missionary reunion and I saw so many people I have not seen in years and I met people who never made it to New Paltz during their time in the New York New York North mission. When Keven introduced me to the Mission President he congragulated me on my marriage to Keven. Now before you freak out I am NOT married, he just assumed we were haha. I was asked at least twice again if we were married. Needless to say Keven and I got a great laugh out of it. When I got home David told me there was a concert and our friends were preforming. It was at a crepe place in Orem and it was amazing! Adam, Adam, and Shawn are in a band called Crazy Old Maurice and they play folk music and are great. Another guy played and OMGosh he was so talented. So I had a great night and today has been amazing too.

Some of you may know that today is General Confrance, for those of you who are confused I will explain. General Confrance is when the leaders of the LDS church broadcast to the whole world. It is a great spiritual experiance and I can't wait for the second half to start. They anounced that they are building a new Temple in Provo. That means TWO Temples in Provo! I can not wait to see the blessing that will bring to not only my life but to the lives of all the people in Provo. I have been to the Temple and it is crowded. Having two will be so great in the movement of ordinances. Tomorrow I am watching the Sunday portion at Keven's house and then we are going to his to be sister's house for food and such. I am having such an amazing week and next week will just be better I am sure of it. I hope where ever you are who ever you are that you are having a great day. I love you and hope that you are happy in life.

Grandma Food

Saturday I went shopping with Kaylen and Larissa. We have so much fun when we are together <3 After that they went up to Salt Lake for the Relief Society Conference and I just watched it at home. It was such a great broadcast. The talks were so great and they were just a reminder that I am so loved and cared for by not only my Heavenly Father but the leaders of the church. Its nice to know that I am part of something bigger than myself or this small life I lead, I am part of a sisterhood and part of a master plan. After that I went out to the Movies with Gabe and some of his friends. We went to go see the Help and it was amazing!

Sunday I went to Church, as usual haha, and then later Sunday I went to dinner at Keven's grandmother's house. I thought it was just going to be us but lo and behold his cousin, brother, and his brother's fiance was there as well! I was still in my Sunday cloths and they were all in jeans and shorts. Better over dressed than under dressed right? Any way it was so much fun. I had some home cooked grandma food which is always good and made me miss my grandma even more!!! In case you are reading this Nanny your food is better if only because I love you but none the less I miss your cooking <3
Keven's brother Bryan and his to be wife Kayla invited me to their wedding, so that is my second wedding invite for October. I am so excited. I love wedding so much, the love, unity, music, food, it is all so great. After dinner we all sat and talked for a little bit then headed home.

Today was stressful to say the least. I subbed for the 1st-4th graders who didn't have school today and was left with no sub plans and was so scared! There was 12 kids ranging from 7 to 9 and they are no joke. We ended up going for a walk and playing games. After that I went back to my class and they were not on their best behavior today. When I got home I relaxed for a bit then went food shopping with Kaylen and Larissa. Once again we were total goof balls and we took photos! So here you go!

Better late than never

So I just realized that it has been 5 days. So Let me catch you up!
Monday we got a new roommate, her name is Larissa and she is from Germany! She is so sweet and I love her to bits. FHE was good as well we just kinda hung out. Thursday was uneventful. Wednesday I had Institute and yesterday I went to Keven's house for a back to back horror movie night! It was so fun, we watched Insidious. To be honest it was not the best movie I have ever seen but once it picked up it was good and the end was great. After that we watched The Decent and it was AMAZING! I was so scared withing 10 minutes and was jumping and squrming the whole time. There is a part two so we will be having a follow up movie night. This morning I got up at the but crack of dawn and went with Amanda, Amber, and Whitney to the Temple. It was so great. It was 7 am and the place was packed. It was so different from the NYC Temple and I am so glad I went. I think it was a good way to show God how greatful I am to be here right now. As much as I miss and love everyone I can't say I am home sick because I just don't have time to be haha. I leave for work soon and I am so in love with my job. I don't have coworkers I have friends and my students are more like my family I just love them all so much. There are 7 of them so I want to do a Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs theme for Haloween. What do ya think? After that I have a triple date thing and we are watching the BYU v. Florida football game. I have been super busy but I hope I am writing more often again. Till next time!

Scare Tactics

So last night I went out with Keven, a guy I have known for about 2 years now. As I was waiting to be picked up I made the mistake of shutting my eyes for "just a second" leading me into a deep slumber. I was woken up by Amanda telling me Keven was waiting in the living room. Half away and looking asleep I walked out of my bedroom. We went out for icecream, lets just say a small is not so small and I can not eat icecream like a lady, it was all over the place! I am such a spaz. Anyway we then drove 20 minutes out to Lehi, getting lost because of constuction. We arived at a Haunted House (the main event) only to be told by the owner that we were a half an hour early so we hoped back into the car. It took all of two seconds till Keven said "Hey, do you want to learn how to drive stick shift?" Now let me tell you I have seen people try to drive stick shift for the first time and it is not a pretty site. But we had a half an hour so I thought why not! So we drove to the nearest Church parkinglot, aka 2 minutes away, and my first lesson began. Now I don't mean to brag but I did not stall once. =D Yeah thats right. I jerked the car quite a bit but not once did it stall. Needless to say I impressed Keven....and myself. So that took care of the half hour and we went back to the Haunted House which once was a bar. The owner was super cool and we are on first name terms, he is Aaron and I as you know am Luisa hehe. So we paid for our tickets (as in he paid for our tickets) and we walked in. The two people in front of us were interesting to say the least. The girl was supper cool and was having fun. The boy however was crouched like a scared child and stomped on my foot a lot.
I will be honest I was scared. It was well done and there were parts where I had to burry my head into Keven's chest (aka every time a clown came near me, and a few other instances). After we were out we saw Aaron and chated. We were saying it would have been better if that one guy didn't ruin it and guess what! He let us go in again for free!!! The second time was so much better, at the end of the house a guy chased me out with a chainsaw and I screamed and ran so fast my shoe broke! Not a flipflop shoe but a real shoe! I broke my fricken shoe haha. Aaron and Keven got a laugh and Aaron said and I quote "You two are a cute couple." It was so funny and he was shocked when he realized we were not an item. Anyway we drove back and were laughing the whole way and made plans for a horror movie night on Friday...once again I can't wait for the weekend. Horror movies are amazing and I am pumped for another epic day.
Today was awesome too. Church was great and I got my Temple recomend and so Friday morning I am going! So Happy. The girls and I came home and watched Megamind and now I am here telling you about how amazing my life is these days. I hope every entry is this great. And if not at least entertaining.

xoxo, Luisa

Ice Skating & Show Tunes

Well yesterday I got home late so I didn't write. Sorry if that ruined your otherwise great day and if you did not even realize well....then I guess thats okay.

Anyway yesterday was great after work I came home for a bit then went out with friends. We went out to an iceskating at a place that was built for the 2000 Salt Lake Olympics. It was so cool...to bad I have (or should I say had) no clue how to iceskate. I spent the first half hour holding onto the wall looking like an idiot. By the end I had fallen at least 3 times, almost fallen more times then not and lost all fealing bellow my calf. But there should be photos sooner or later. Anyway over all it was a lot of fun. After that we got pizza and icecream, played ping pong, and oh yeah sang showtunes and movie songs for hours...yeah thats right I made friends with a bunch of music loving Mormons! It was so great. I hung out with some other friends untill around one am and then crashed. Today was cleaning checks and we passed. I baked cookies and watched a few (as in a lot) of criminal minds. Later I am going out with Kevin a guy who served in NY about two years ago. I am so glad I am hanging out with people I have not seen in a while. It's so nice to catch up and everything. Anyway that is about it for today. I hope you are all doing good!

Love, Luisa

Open House

So last night I saw Grant for the first time in a year (and I thought it was only months). It was so nice to see him again. He is such a great friend to have.

Today was open house day at work. So Keesha and I prepared forever! We made the room look so good teachers from around the building came to see it. I mean it looked so good. We set up little stations and food and everything. We got into our heals and waited.....and waited....and waited. Finaly a Dad showed up! Then a mom...and that was it haha. We worked so hard and it was only two parents. But thats okay, the satisfaction of a job well done is reward enough. After a while a few other teachers joined us and we all just ate food and were laughing forever. I went home watched the finale of America's Got Talent and then hung around for a bit and here I am!

Nothing to awesome today but if I don't write today I might keep sliping.

OH! So I only know for sure one person reads this. If you read this blog tell me!! I want to know I am not talking to myself haha.

Till next time, I remain forever yours.
Luisa
